Farmstead (and a little halloween preview)

The Bakalar's were all at home on Friday (before they all get back in the groove of work and daycare this week), so at the last minute, we all headed to the Farmstead one last time before it closes for the season.

Checking out the chickens

Playing in the big buckets of corn

Watching Lola and her Daddy fish

Just wandering

And last night, we celebrated Halloween at my parents house and trick or treated at 2 of their neighbors.  I think this is probably our last easy halloween, as O&O still don't "get" it.  But, they did have their first hershey bars - Owen sat down on the front porch of the Glass's house and didn't intend to leave until he ate it all!

Here's one of all 3 kids together!  Not an easy picture to get!
Frankenstein, a ghost, and a cow!  Adorable!

Raking the leaves

After a delicious breakfast this morning we went outside to take care of some yard work.  By work I mean playing in the leaves. No leaves were actually bagged or removed from the yard, just raked into fun piles.

More Halloween Fun

We painted some pumpkins today.  I wanted to get out the knives and start carving, but Lindsay figured Owen might try to eat the knife or stab his sister, so, we went with paint.  The first thing both Os did was eat the paint.  Good thing we bought the non toxic Crayola stuff.  It was really messy, but I think we all had fun.

Getting started

Hands on Olivia's purple masterpiece

Owen having fun

Olivia ate most of the paint on her fingers shortly after this

As you can see Owen liked painting his belly almost as much as the pumpkin

Don't forget to use your feet

Right into the bath after painting

I think Owen wanted to stay painted for a while
