'Tis the Season

Christmas is going to be so much fun this year!  It has already started around here! 

2 new events in our household:

1.  I joined instagram.  So I apologize in advance if I overuse in the coming days

2.  Our elf on the shelf arrived!  This is the first year of our elf (who has yet to be named), but we are having fun so far. 

First Hot Chocolate!  

We took a walk to the mailbox and needed to warm up.  Owen loved loved loved it.  Olivia was much less interested. 

O&O are very excited about Santa.  We have never gone to visit him, but they have seen pictures of Lola from last year.  They ask every morning to go sit on Santa's lap.  And then Owen reminds me that he would like 2 fire trucks (a pumper truck and a ladder truck).  And that Olivia would like a fire truck too.  She says "No Owen!  I don't like a fire truck.  I want dress up". 

This time of year is just magical with these two cuties!

Other than some difficulty at bedtime, O&O did pretty well on our little adventure.  Now as soon as they sleep in real beds, it will be even easier!

Preschool Thanksgiving

Justin and I both attended Thanksgiving at daycare today.  Feeding 10 2-year-olds, plus their parents, in under 30 minutes was just crazy.  But so much fun to spend time with all of their friends, parents and teachers!

I feel horrible for the staff that had to deal with the 10 meltdowns that occurred when it was time for all of the parents to leave after lunch, right before nap time.  Hope they survive the rest of the day! 

Still 3 more Thanksgivings to go.  I'm glad we are spreading them out over a few weeks this year!

Big Kid Beds!

After another fit-filled nap time of Olivia trying to climb out of her crib, we made the switch.  Tonight is their first night.  They were very excited and practiced "sleeping" in them all afternoon.  We put a baby gate in the hallway, so they can't get anywhere even if they get their doors open.  I'm really hoping this is an easy transition.

iPhone Pictures Catch Up

I never even blogged Trick or Treating!  We went to my parents cul de sac and got in most of our trick or treating before dark.  We made it to about 6 houses - and walked with my cousin Emily and Aunt Debbie.  O&O loved it, and are still working through their candy.  

Bad Mom got them all excited to go the library on Wednesday, just to realize it closes early on Wednesdays.  So off to Culver's we went.  Yes, Owen chose vanilla.  Who is this kid?
