Olivia and Owen had their 3 year appointment this morning and everything went great!

Weight: 30 lbs, 2 oz (36%)
Height: 36 inches (12%)
Olivia:
Weight: 27 lbs (14%)
Height: 35.5 inches (12%)
Yep, both are still short. Actually both dropped in height percentiles since last year!

Girls Night
Remember when Justin and Owen went to the Royals game? Well, Olivia and I had girls night the same evening. I must say, it is so good for the kids, and us, to get one-on-one time. Olivia and I had so much fun, even if we just went to the mall!
On an entirely different topic, I recently dumped a bag of sand we had around into a plastic bin. Owen LOVED it. Like, I should have saved it and given it to him as a present.
This is as close as we will ever get to owning a sandbox.

Her first visit to American Girl! She was drawn to the bitty babies and especially this baby and the booster chair. All she wants for her birthday is a "high chair baby"!

Caroline and Will's Visit
Oh, and Ryan visited too. But I'll admit it was all about the kids!
What I loved about the weekend was that it was entirely low-key. We went to the mall, the park, the donut store, Panzons, etc. But it was so much fun getting our two families together!
And thank you Ryan for all of the pictures! And for the late night (by late, I mean 8:30) glasses of wine!

Olivia and Owen have been asking all afternoon when Caroline is coming back. And Olivia misses her sleepover buddy! Can't wait to see them again this summer!

Owen and I went to his first baseball game. In typical royals fashion, they lost by one run, not that we made it for 9 innings. Owen ate about 400 peanuts, nachos, and some of my hot dog.

Movin' on Up
Yesterday was moving day for Owen and Olivia - to the 3-year-old class at school! I can't believe my babies are that old (well, they aren't 3 yet, but they will be soon)!
I was a little worried about the transition since Olivia missed the entire week last week and Owen was out on Friday.
We dropped their stuff off in their new class and went to the "drop off" room, which was their old class. This was one of the rough parts of the day. They were all excited to go to their new room and then we made them go to their old room. They cried. But apparently did great when their new teacher picked them up.
The 3-year-old class has assigned seating at lunch, and Owen wasn't thrilled that his assigned seat wasn't next to Olivia. So he threw a fit. And then he threw up. And then he asked for more noodles. He claimed he just ate too fast. We still aren't sure whether that's the case or whether he is still a little sick from his virus last week. Either way, daycare let him stay and finish out the day.
They got great reports from their new teacher!
Owen's: "Owen had an awesome day!"
Olivia's: "Olivia is such a great little helper!"
Plus, they had no accidents!
I would say it was a success, even with the vomit. We changed drop-off today to be with their new friends and they did much better.
Hoping for another good report today!
