Too bad he probably won't want anything to do with unloading the dishwasher in a few years.

Watching Papa Russ Mow

kids shot with p2 from Justin Schmidt on Vimeo.

O&O were fascinated watching Papa Russ out the window....

We got a new iPad2 this week.  While it's awesome, I have to admit I am not used to it's simplicity yet and completely gave up on trying to download these pictures to it and blog.  Oh well, next time!

Rain rain go away

Poor planning on our part today!  We took the babies with us to Lawrence to get haircuts.  That was our first mistake.  What are two mobile babies going to do while we each get hairucts?  We entertained as best we could, gave snacks and took walks outside before the storms rolled in.  It seemed to clear up, so we headed to Quintons for lunch.  Of course it was raining when it was time to go.  I always thought it was crazy that our stroller came with a rain cover, but it did come in handy for the walk back to the car.....!!!

Sassy?

Is Olivia developing a little sass already?  I asked her to move back to the carpet to watch tv, and this is where she went....

as close to the edge of the carpet as possible.

Blueberries and Faux Hawks

The babies were naked during dinner tonight so they could eat blueberries.  Actually, it didn't turn out to be much of a mess, but they still headed straight to the bath afterward!

Mini's Shower

We celebrated Erica and Luke's baby, "Mini", yesterday. My Mom did the decor (and hosted at her house). I hosted with a few of Erica's great girlfriends. Mini's theme is baseball, and we had so much fun decorating! We can't wait for Mini to arrive in April!

Olivia was worn out after the party

Look at those chubby babies!  Erica and Luke were such cute babies!

The tunnel (don't tell Lola we took it)

Owen and Olivia had their first shared bath time Sunday night.  It seemed to go ok.  They both had some good laughs as the other got washed.  It was good to have a nice quiet weekend at home.  They've both more or less readjusted from life on the road.

O&O also borrowed a new toy from Lola.  It's a tunnel.  Lola wasn't too pleased we stole her toy from her, we had to sneak it out in between her dramatic outcries to save her precious tunnel.  Owen cried the first time he realized he was in the middle of the thing, but he's since figured out how to get from one end to the other.  Olivia was actually the first one to go end to end, so proud to be the first at something finally.

Owen won't really touch baby food any more, all he wants to eat is big people food, particularly if you are eating it as well.  Too bad he doesn't have a few more teeth to chew all this food with, but he does what he can.  He's also officially saying "dada" so I guess I win the best parent award for the month.  We're working on Olivia's babbling, she's just a bit behind.

The twins had also been complaining so much recently about the small size of the TV downstairs, so I went out and got a new one Sunday, they're much happier about the bigger screen for Baby Einstein.  I'm glad they're happy about it, anything to keep them happy. But now their complaining about not having an iPad, guess we'll have to fix that too....

New things on the horizon

I really can't believe Owen and Olivia are 10 months old.  And I am sure we have been saying all along - they are changing so much!  Recently, I've been thinking about all of the huge changes that are coming in the next few months.  Here are a few things we'll be saying Hello and Goodbye to soon!

Goodbye:
Bottles
Formula
Baby Food
Infant Carseats
Snap n Go Stroller
Binkies (at least it's suggested that we get rid of them, we'll see what actually happens!)
Exersaucer
Crawling

Hello:
Milk
Forward facing carseats (we are now the proud owners of 4 new carseats, just waiting for the 1st birthday!)
Walking
Talking
Shoes
