Checking in

check in from Justin Schmidt on Vimeo.

We made it to Park City.

There was a lot of crying to get here though.  We were on a flight filled with children, and we had the only two who wailed. Well only one wailed at a time. Whichever twin was sitting with me was the one that was crying.

Owen refused to sit in his own seat when we got on the plane, until the stewardess made me pry him off my lap and buckle him in his own seat against his will.  Then we went through 7 new toys. Each kept him distracted for about 30 seconds at a time. By then we had reached cruising altitude, so Owen got to sit on daddy's lap, which kept him content for another 5 minutes or so. They were pretty good until landing.

That's when Olivia decided it was time to sit with me. She too suddenly couldn't sit in her own seat.  So she sat on my lap until final descent. Again the stewardess, who seemed to dislike us by this point, pried Olivia off my lap, screaming into her own seat.

She continued to scream through the baggage claim and to the rental car. Lindsay's Hertz status is apparently in question because they didn't have the car waiting and ready, so we stood in line. Olivia wailed until she passed out. Her nap was only 4 hours late.

Owen's nap was 5 hours late. He didn't even make it out of Salt Lake in the car before his eyes closed.

They took a bath in the giant tub, and actually slept fairly well. Until 5:45am mountain time.

So we're up early and getting ready to explore.

Adios
